Before we start

This tour is an adventure for me as I’ve not visited northern Germany before. Many of the places we will visit are in the old East Germany which adds a level of interest for me.

My itinerary is to fly into Copenhagen airport where Ray will pick me up in his car. We then stay a night in southern Denmark before taking the ferry to Rostock the next day. We then drive to an hotel near Satemin and prepare for the first gig on Saturday. Satemin is one of the largest circular villages (a Rundling) in this part of Germany and I’m really looking forward to seeing it.

We are there on the first day of Pfingstmarkt Satemin, a special weekend festival that is held once a year. Our show is at The Markthof in the centre of the village.

There are 9 shows on this tour ending up just outside of Berlin. I fly back from there, the day after the last show. Ray then drives back to Rostock for a ferry to Sweden and the long drive home.
