From Remplin to Moorhausen was a four hour drive, thankfully going around Hamburg. The village of Moorhausen lies north of Oldenburg and very close to the North Sea. It sits in the Wesermarsch which is west of the river Weser, between the city of Bremen and the mouth of the river.

The Konserdiele is in a 200 year old barn which has been converted into a small concert hall. Charlie and his wife Bärbel hold between 4 and 6 concerts every year and Ray has played here once before.

As can be seen on the merch desk at the entrance to the barn, there is a lot to squeeze in. Now in his eleventh year as a solo artist, Ray Cooper has five solo albums on CD – Tales Of Love War And Death By Hanging; Palace Of Tears; Between The Golden Age And The Promised Land; Land Of Heroes and Even For A Shadow. The last three albums are also on vinyl with Even For A Shadow produced on 180gm vinyl with a gatefold sleeve. He also has a CD single with three versions of Falling Like Thunder and a songbook covering songs from his first two albums.

Ray has started to settle on the basics for his set on this tour which he will vary according to the audience.
In Moorhausen, Ray ended the first set with Eyes Of Mercy and then started the second with Whistleblower. Sir Patrick Spens is a very upbeat number with Tears Of Isis making a nice finish to the set.
Here the encores were Dark Days Are Over and Adios (a song from Jimmy Webb).
