The last four days have been too busy to write a note so this will cover those four days and is written while I wait at Hamburg airport.
The first show was a private house concert in Naumburg. There were some 30 people sat in the dining room where Ray played, in the kitchen and in the lounge. This was a special benefit concert to raise funds to support a local hospital for hedgehogs.

The next day we drove to a small village near Walsrode for a concert in the garden as part of a family celebration. While the morning started out sunny, by the late afternoon it had started to rain but that did not dampen the enjoyment of the music.

The next day we drove to Bremen for the Friday evening gig at Das Paganini’s. This is a café/bar in the centre of Bremen. Ray had played there before and was invited back. The audience enjoyed listening to Ray’s stories and songs. They sang along to the first encore Drunk On Summer and then called Ray back for a second encore when is sang Wayfaring Stranger acoustically with many singing quietly along.

The final gig of the four was an open house concert in Enger.

Marco and Sonja live in a converted barn and they convert the hall into a performance space with room for some 50 people.
Opening the evening was 18-year-old singer and guitarist Emily Beadle from Werther, who qualified for the finals of this year’s national Jugend musiziert competition in the “German Singer of the Year” category.
They advertise on Facebook as Casper&Ilsebein. This is a wonderful venue so please visit their website.
I’m running out of time now before my flight.
