Presteigne

This is the third time Ray has been invited to play in Presteigne. It’s always a delight as he gets to play the grand piano that they keep in very good condition.

The Assembly Room is a lovely venue for a concert. Local company Translight have installed a range of lights and we had Soundzaround from nearly Clun to provide the sound. Tiered seating means that everyone gets a good view. Volunteers from Mid Border Arts provide a bar.

In 2026, Ray will be touring as Oysterband’s John Jones, Ray Cooper and Al Scott. Al joined Ray for a few numbers in the second set and for their encore they sang an Oysterband song The Story, giving a sneak preview of the arrangements made possible by the new trio.
